Our Chief Technology Officer, Dr. John Kruse, has been invited to be a speaker at Agriculture 4.0 Workshop: Modernizing U.S Agriculture in San Francisco from 14-15 November 2018.
John will be speaking on the panel ‘Biotechnology: Challenges & Opportunities’ where discussions will focus on societal understanding and perspectives of the bio-tech industry in farming, and the question of where resources would best be allocated in relation to the safeguarding of US agriculture and its progress.
This two-day workshop was launched by the multi-sector strategy consultancy group Challenge Advisory to support the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4G) of US agriculture through digital technologies.

John earned his doctorate in agronomy from the University of Georgia (USA). He leads PlantResponse’s field research and validation of developing technologies. He also provides science-based support to the business and to customers, including the development of their intellectual property strategy. John has worked in the agricultural industry with Koch Agronomic Services. Previously, he was a Crop Specialist for the Louisiana State University Agricultural Center. Prior to earning his doctorate, John worked for the Scotts Company as a Tech Rep in their Professional Turfgrass Division.
