PlantResponse™ has won the ActuaUPM Award for Best Business Development 2016. The honorary award recognizes the growing business development of PlantResponse over the year, and follows the company’s recent award of Most Innovative European Biotech SME from EuropaBio.

Actúaupm is the business creation program of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM), integrated under its Technological and Innovation Support Center (CAIT). It is part of UPM’s Innovation, Marketing and Business Area, and was conceived around four pillars: the business idea, the equipment, the resources that support the project, and the business model – to which the other three elements give rise. The program aims to boost the creation of companies with high growth potential.

Antonio Molina, cofounder and Chairman of the Scientific Advisory Board of PlantResponse, received the award and dedicated it to the entire company team, which “strives to the maximum every day because it believes in the importance our activity has for present and future agricultural society.”

PlantResponse explores the development of natural solutions that respect the environment and promote effective and more sustainable crop production. “We work to bring natural resource management tools to farmers so that they can get the most from their harvests,” said Molina.

PlantResponse products enhance plants’ resistance to biotic and abiotic stress, reducing the need for chemical inputs, thus helping to protect the environment and promoting sustainable farming practices.

Antonio Molina concluded:

“This award is another recognition of our continuous effort and constant and well-done work, values that we are proud of at PlantResponse.”
